Practicing the presence

Who do you trust? Engage in a conversation with a friend about trust. Introduce the topic by saying this is an assignment from the devotional guide you are using.

List what it is that creates trust between people. What makes you trust someone? As you share this with your friend (remember, this is a conversation—what do they think?) make a list of people you trust or you think you could trust if you were in relationship with them.

Ask your friend “what would make me a more trustworthy person?” Close the conversation by sharing how you plan to become more trustworthy.

  • Prayers of thanksgiving and petition
  • Journaling or silent reflection
  • “The Lord’s Prayer”
