Week eleven: Kingdom living

  • Recite or sing/chant Psalms 130 and 131 (I suggest you memorize these two Psalms)
  • Moment of Silence

Presence (through the Scripture)

  • Psalm reading (select from below):
    • Morning: Psalm 12
    • Noon: Psalm 64
    • Vespers: Psalm 109:1-15
    • Night: Psalm 131
  • Moment of silence
  • Scripture readings:
    • Monday: Matthew 5:1-26
    • Tuesday: Matthew 5:27-6:4
    • Wednesday: Matthew 6:5-24
    • Thursday: Matthew 6:25-7:14
    • Friday: Matthew 7:15-29
  • Moment of silence

  • Prayers of thanksgiving and petition
  • Journaling and silent reflection
  • Close with the “Lord’s Prayer”

During this week ask these questions of the text:

  • What bothers me?
  • What encourages me?
  • What challenges me?
  • What am I being called to do this week?

Focus especially on the last two questions. Write down one practical thing you can do this week in response to these readings. Set a time. Act.

“Therefore everyone who hears these words of mine and puts them into practice is like a wise man who built his house on the rock.” –Jesus, Matthew 7:24
