Maturity seems to be wrapped up in one word: love. The problems experienced in Corinth are resolved only by the practical application of 1 Corinthians 13. Look very closely at each descriptive element in 1 Corinthians 13:4-8. How do these characteristics deal with people who treat you in selfish ways? How does developing these characteristics enable you to build up your community rather than tear it down?

Begin this week with “love is patient” and attempt to demonstrate this facet of love in your relationship with those in your community of faith.
